Training
We are looking for motivated young talent who will be involved in our day-to-day business right from the start and are looking for long-term prospects. The training starts on August 1st. one year and usually ends after 3 years with the examination before the IHK.
Right at the start of the dual apprenticeship in digital and print media design, you choose one of four specializations: project management, design conceptualization, print media, or digital media. H.O. Persiehl offers training exclusively in the print media specialization.
What will I do?
The role of a media designer is highly versatile, as it allows you to work across a wide range of industries. Vocational school provides training in the fundamentals of design, including color theory, typography, conceptualization, and layout. Working with standard graphic design and image editing software is a constant part of your training. You will also learn to use system applications and acquire skills in data handling and media integration.
At the company, the focus is on **print media**—specifically, technically modifying existing designs to make them suitable for printing. As a printing company, our role lies less in the creative design phase and more in technical implementation. Key tasks include preparing folding cartons and labels for print production and creating digital print forms. You will learn to use industry-specific software.
If you are interested in IT, we offer the opportunity to gain knowledge regarding the fundamentals of system administration and the workflow systems we use.
What do I need?
At least a secondary school leaving certificate (Realschulabschluss), a basic understanding of technology, and the ability to work in a team. As an internationally active company (with 25% of sales coming from exports), we require a good command of English.
